This is, indeed, what the collaboration between the Chiara Pizzinato Atelier and the ancient Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua has led to, the former being an example of Venetian excellence in dressmaking, as revealed by her original textile transformations. The latter is the place where velvets, brocades, damasks and lampasses are produced using methods and looms which date back to the 18th century.
You will therefore understand why Bevilacqua Pizzinato’s creations are unique and precious.
On the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, running at Venice Lido from August 31st to September 11th, 2016, Bevilacqua Pizzinato is going to exhibit its most exclusive creations on Lungomare Gabriele D’Annunzio, 14, Venice Lido, filling the location with light and colour.
During this international event, we are going to show our dresses and bags, made of the fine Fresie velvet, with a multi-coloured pattern on a gold ground. The motif is composed of passion flowers’ stems, stretching laterally. They are followed by stalks with acanthus leaves and flowers, as well as branches of hoary stock, in the middle of which you can see a galaxy of freesias, bignonias and pine cones in bloom. The design of this velvet is inspired to the botanical elements typical of the Art-Nouveau style, which you can notice on the architectural works in Venice Lido, too.
